Piano and Theory Instruction

Description

Chris Lencki is a longtime teacher and senior level examiner in all levels of both piano and theory at the Royal Conservatory of Music with 37 years of teaching experience. He has recently moved to the Bathurst and College area and is available for private instruction at his home.
A lifelong Torontonian, Chris studied piano with Sadie Squires, Gordon Hallett, William Aide and Andrew Markow. He holds an ARCT in piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, a Bachelor of Music in music education from the University of Toronto and an MA in musicology and ethnomusicology from York University. He is also a member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers’ Association. As a outgrowth of his interest in other musical traditions, he also studied tabla for a time with Pandit Sharda Sahai from Varanasi, India.
