Like many people, Bev Horodnyk is a pet owner and true animal lover. She always wondered why there were so few options when it came to reliable, quality pet care especially since so many people travel and lead hectic lives.
Bev is a retired Police Officer with a lifelong passion for animals of all kinds. She founded Monster Minder to pursue her love of animals and serve the needs of their busy owners in the Durham Region. As a locally owned and operated business, Monster Minder is devoted to keeping Durham Regions's pets healthy, safe, and happy. Our full menu of services is designed to suit every pet's personality and requirements, whether it be dog walking, dog sitting, cat sitting, or looking after other little monsters like exotic birds, snakes, reptiles, potbellied pigs, mice, rats, chinchillas, guinea pigs, chickens, or rabbits. We also offer specialized puppy care, which incorporates dog training elements into regular walks, for those puppies and young dogs who could use a little extra help. We also allow your cat to stay in his or her own environment by respecting feline routines. Bev is certified in Pet First Aid and CPR, and has completed courses in Pet Behaviour, Pet Nutrition, Pet Fitness, and Pet Training. Our commitment to you and your pet includes value-added services like administering medications, and vital house tasks from mail and flyer pick up, to turning lights on and off. All at no extra charge. We've recently introduced Pet Cam service, so that you can check in on your monster from anywhere in the world. Bev is fully bonded, insured, accredited, and above all, honest, reliable and kind.
