Be Still Photography

Description

With photography, I now see the elegance each new day holds. Colors have become brighter, lines more vivid and the beauty in simplicity has become more fascinating than ever before. Pursuing photography has helped me to take a step back and breathe in the world, rather than charging ahead and missing it all. Taking photos has taught me how to see things, rather than merely looking at them – how to admire a late afternoon ray of sun shining through the treetops that seems to paint a picture of it's own, or a cluster of color springing from the dirt beneath our feet. Photos have allowed me the grand opportunity of noticing the small things in life which were intended for us to appreciate - things we often pass by without so much as a glance. I believe that light can articulate a story sometimes better than words set a scene on a page, and I find my happiness when I can manipulate my surroundings to express my own interpretations of beauty.
