I am a massage therapist and acupuncturist in Kitchener.
After graduating from Massage Therapy School in 2005, I studied acupuncture and completed my Certificate of Acupuncture in 2006. I have 5 years experience working as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in rehabilitation, during which I have continually taken new courses to broaden my scope of practice. At present, I am working on my Diploma of Acupuncture. My primary mandate as a therapist is to educate my clients about their condition(s) and promote preventative care. Available Services - Massage Therapy - Effective for the treatment of TMJ, Tinnitus, Tendonitis, Headaches, Sciatica, Whiplash, Sports injuries, Scoliosis, Fibromyalgia as well as knee, back and neck pain. - Far–Inferred Therapy – This is a light projected at a specific frequency that causes the body to increase it metabolism and stimulates healing. This can be used on those with artificial joints, pins or screw. Used in massage and acupuncture treatments. - Cupping Massage – A traditional Chinese technique of using cups to release the fascia of the body. This is usually incorporated into a deep tissue massage. - Sacro-Illiac Blocking - The use of wedges to correction torques in the hips and thus relieving lower back and hip pain. - Hot Stone Therapeutic Massage – The use of heated stones to encourage muscle relaxation with heat. - Pregnancy Massage and Labour Support – I am available for support during labour for both hospital and home delivery scenarios. *Pregnancy table available - Cranial Mobilizations and Temporal Mandibular Dysfunction (TMD) – A manual technique involving the mobilization of the bones in the skull and face to relieve pain, tinnitus, jaw problems, teeth grinding, jaw clicking, migraines and headaches. Electrotherapy – The addition of electricity to acupuncture by using specific frequencies to stimulate healing, relaxation and pain relief. Facial Rejuvenation – Small inter-dermal needles are used to stimulate collagen production thus decreasing the appearance of facial lines, moles, and age spots. Each treatment is 1.5 hours in length and costs 100$ per treatment for a course of 12 treatments. Fertility Treatments – Acupuncture is used to balance hormones, strengthen blood and regulate menstruation to increase the chances of ovum fertilization. Induction – Use of a Chinese herb (Moxabustion) and needles to stimulate commencement of labour. 1-1.5 hour treatment Menopause Relief - The use of needles to balance hormones to reduce the symptoms of menopause.
