You may have noticed we tend to change up our brewed coffee offerings every couple months. The reason is we like to use beans from micro-lots which means once they're gone, they're gone - at least until a new crop arrives next season. If you're a wine drinker, it's like buying from Vintages instead of the general listing. You get great wine but there's only so much of it. When we knew our Ethiopian Sidamo was getting low we began tasting roasts from Central and South America, Indonesia/East Timor and Africa. Turns out the best of the bunch was another Ethiopian, this time from the Oromia (formerly Harar) region. Ethiopian Harar is dry processed (unwashed) coffee known for its fruity, floral-toned acidity with a rich and pungent heady aroma reminiscent of blackberries and apricots. To maintain this complexity of flavours we're now offering it as our medium roast. Stop by for a cup or take a bag home to brew.
