Description
Julia Nash moved to Sawridge (now called Slave Lake) in 1915, to marry a very successful fur trader whose trading post was situated on the banks of the Slave River. Julia raised 8 children, the youngest being Julian. During and after the great depression all the siblings moved away to find better paying work.
After a few years working in BC, Julian returned to Slave Lake with his new bride Jenny. They built 3 cabins, then a house & raised Janine & Edward just North of where Julian was raised.
Janine & Edward built houses on pieces of the original homestead to raise their families.
Nash Enterprises takes pride in having a family history spanning over 95 years in Slave Lake,
growing with the community.
