Durham Mental Health Services works in partnership with our clients, their families and the community to provide services that are person-centred and sensitive to individual need.
We are a charitable non-profit agency operating under the direction of a volunteer Board of Directors. We provide a range of services to individuals who are living with mental health problems and their families. Durham Mental Health Services commenced operation in August 1987 with the opening of Colborne House, our first residential location. Since that time the agency has expanded to include six supportive housing locations, a case management program, crisis services, mental health court support services and a family support program. Durham Mental Health Services is funded by the Central East Local Health Integration Network, the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care and by Durham Region Department of Social Services. Our services are free and confidential.
