Proform Concrete Services Inc. started in 1975 as HEB Developers Ltd. By 1979, three Gomaco Commander III’s were in hand as the company continued to expand in the mid-eighties, the name changed to Proform Concrete Services Inc. A Precast Concrete Division began in the late 1980’s and in 1990 purchased an existing precast plant in Red Deer. With continued growth in the 90’s, there were two expansions of the Precast Plant and the addition of several more Concrete Extruders. In 1999 Proform began their first concrete paving job at the High Level Airport and purchased a Gomaco Commander III four track paver and completed the project on time and on budget.
Proform is the largest slip-form concrete contractor in Alberta with a large fleet of Gomaco concrete curb and gutter extruders, and concrete pavers including one new 2-track concrete paver, two concrete placers, one texture cure machine and a 4-track barrier machine. There is a long history with Gomaco paving equipment as well, through both direct acquisition and operational support in conjunction with specialized hands-on training at the Gomaco headquarters in Ida Grove, Iowa, USA. Recently Proform has reorganized into a parent management company PROFORM MANAGEMENT INC. and two sister companies PROFORM CONCRETE SERVICES INC. and PROFORM PRECAST PRODUCTS INC.
