The Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex opened its doors in September, 1993. The Complex is an integral part of community fitness and wellness, and an outstanding events venue. Our staff are ready to assist you with virtually any request about our rentals and recreation opportunities. The Complex offers an Olympic-size ice surface, indoor running track, swimming pool, meeting rooms, and banquet hall, all under one roof. The City of Waterloo's top-rank facilities and venues are ideal for major events, and our staff are there at every turn to make things run smoothly. With the demolition of the Waterloo Memorial Arena in 2001, the “Memorial“ designation was added to the Waterloo Recreation Complex to commemorate our community's war dead. At that time, a memorial installation for “Sons of Waterloo“ was made in the lobby of The Complex.
