Helpful Hands has a strong history of providing compassionate continuity of care for seniors and adults with disabilities. When you or your loved one joins our extended family, you will have peace of mind knowing s/he is assigned a caregiver with family values. Our staff helps clients make positive lifestyle choices surrounding healthy eating, stress management and other areas of day-to-day living to meet their wants and needs. A warm smile and a listening ear are always part of the client homecare experience.
OUR SERVICES Companionship: We make friends with clients, encouraging favourite activities such as playing cards, walking in the park and having great conversations. Our goal is to promote physical and mental well-being. Personal Care: We assist seniors at home or in hospital with all the necessary activities that constitute personal care and hygiene. Bathing, dressing and grooming, eating assistance and medication reminders and other special services are offered. Home Management: We help clients maintain a clean and comfy home. We carry out routine homemaking tasks such as housekeeping, laundry services as well as grocery shopping and meal preparation. Professional Standards: • All caregivers are thoroughly screened, bonded and insured and we perform extensive reference, criminal and driver and motor vehicle checks to ensure safety. • Caregivers are trained to tend to those living with medical conditions such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, Parkinson’s and Multiple Sclerosis. • Home care services are provided by certified Personal Support Workers (PSWs) and Nursing services are provided by Registered Nurses (RNs) and Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs). • We have staff on hand for morning, evening and night shifts, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
