We, Stephanie and Ian Templeton, are the owner/operators of this unique and newly updated 7 unit motel. We strive to provide clean, comfortable rooms with lux duvets and pillows at affordable rates. For your convenience we offer self check-in, which means that your room will be ready for you anytime after our check-in time, no hassle stopping at an office, just go straight to your room. This is a great option for those of you who may require late night check-in. Just call ahead earlier in the day and we will prepare your room. We enjoy a quiet, adventurous life here in Golden and hope that you too will be able to share in some of the incredible opportunities this area has to offer. While in Golden visit the downtown for great food, shopping, and the Kicking Horse Pedestrian Bridge, the longest freestanding timber frame bridge in Canada. You can also catch live music in the Spirit Square during the summer. Heading up? The Kicking Horse Mountain Resort has great alpine and Nordic skiing, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing in winter. During the summer months take-in the hiking, horseback riding, and downhill mountain biking. You can go river rafting down the Kicking Horse River with the numerous rafting companies in town or for tours down the Columbia River and experience a guided tour through one of the longest intact wetlands in North America. Golden is surrounded by five national parks, the Yoho National Park, Banff National Park, Jasper National Park, Glacier National Park, and Kootenay National Park and three mountain ranges, need I say more.
