I utilize an array of techniques from deep tissue, joint mobilizations, fascial release, muscle energy, positional release, active release techniques, neuromuscular techniques, cranial-sacral, and lymphatic massage, to the original Swedish massage. ***** The long made short…after graduating high school, I set off into the mountains in search of adventure and to discover what it’s all about. Or at the very least, what I want to be when I grow up. After many years of hiking, pack trips, and living out of a tent, I found it; or I should say I found out what I didn’t want to be. From the tops of mountains I found my perspective and it became easier to prioritize. Much was made clear to me and a career in health care rang loud in my ears. Massage Therapy was a good fit. It matched the career lifestyle I had already been living…that all things are connected and good foundations are essential to a balanced and healthy lifestyle. I graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy, (OVCMT), in 2009, I started my practice and I continually upgrade my education to keep myself fresh and open. I've worked in three main fields of Massage Therapy thus far: Spa Massage, practicing relaxation massage; Treatment Massage, practicing rehabilitation massage; Massage in Schools Program, teaching primary children massage. As of late I've been wading into the world of Lymphedema. Since moving to Kamloops, BC I have made it the focus of my new clinic to educate and treat Lymphedema patients to the best of my skills and knowledge. I have started a case studies portfolio regarding these patients specifically, to help educate patients, medical professionals, and the general public as they show interest.
