Description
A antique, collectibles and consignment store has been added to the eclectic mix along a busy stretch of Wyandotte Street East in Windsor, Ontario. Owned and operated by Larry and Judy Trealout at 1477 Wyandotte Street East.
George and Alice's Place Inc. opened its doors October 19, 2012. The fulfillment of a dream 20 years in the making. "We finally got the building we wanted, a great area, and fantastic people all around," A lifetime worth of collectibles, well organized, wheel chair accessible and clutter free."
The logo for the store was coined after former Windsor Star cartoonist Bob Monks drew caricatures of the pair. The store's name is a reference to their nicknames, Larry sported long hair during his construction days and his co-workers dubbed him "Alice", and for reasons unknown Larry knickname Judy as "George".
The store features antiques and collectibles including, but not limited to, glassware, kitchen and dining sets, plates, camera, old milk bottles, sewing machines, jewellery, oil lamps, sports cards, sports coins and pictures.
Store hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m.
