A graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Melissa Cescon obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Journalism, where she followed with a highly successful sales and executive management career in software technology and communications for U.S. based software giants. Raised in Milton for almost 20 years, and now a 25 year resident of Oakville with her family, Melissa knows her territory with confidence. She is very active in her local community, having an affiliation with TVCogeco, previously as the television host of “MainStreet” and recently, with her spot appearances. Melissa’s interest in higher education continues to be a priority in her and her children’s lives and she dedicates a significant amount of time to community volunteerism including volunteering and sponsoring events at Appleby College. She holds high her involvement with Royal LePage’s Shelter Foundation and the annual “National Garage Sale” to raise funds for women’s shelters, and most recently, she has spear-headed a project in conjunction with the Oakville-Milton Real Estate Board and Habitat for Humanity. Melissa is also a local sponsor of organizations including The Burloak Theatre Group (BOTG) and The Oakville BIA and to stay up-to-date on “What’s Happening” around town, she is a member of the Oakville Chamber of Commerce.
