Beatties was founded in 1950. Specialising in men's and boy's clothing, Beatties' first store on Eglinton Avenue quickly became the neighbourhood standard, a regular destination for well-dressed Toronto families. In 1972, Bruce Hadden, a long time employee, purchased Beatties and expanded to three locations. At this time, Beatties began to focus on top private schools in the Toronto area and quickly developed a reputation for designing and supplying the highest quality school uniforms in the country.[br/][br/]Today, Beatties is the proud uniform supplier for many of Toronto's most elite private schools. The company's Eglinton and Avenue road location is a neighbourhood icon, continuing in the proud tradition of providing high end school apparel and accessories to Toronto families.
