My name is Haley Martin and I am currently enrolled in Norma Jeanne Laurette's Canine Correspondence Studies dog training program. I participate in dog training classes weekly and have lots of hands on experience. I live on a horse farm and have my own Standardbred named Spark of Genius and a puppy named Odie who I rescued a few months ago.
I created NeoPaws to further my canine instructor experience. It involves watching and perceiving body language in order to prevent any unwanted altercations between dogs and to guide them towards proper behavior. I presently offer 2 classes. On Saturday mornings my class participants are confident dogs that love other dogs but don't necessarily know when to stop or read another dogs warnings to lower their own energy level. Wednesday evenings are for the timid dog. These participants display nervousness and just need more socialization to become more confident with other dogs. Most dog bites are fear bites and can be prevented with proper socialization! Socialization is one of the most important things you can give your dog. My goal at NeoPaws is to offer supervised, guided play time to enable your dog to learn these important behaviors... and to tire them out to give you some peace and quiet for a few hours!
