Life force flows through us all. Over time and through the course of life often our energy fields become clouded and off balance. Part of the healing belief of reiki is that our life force and energy fields manifest from a feeling and emotional state into a physical. Thus when we are off balance on an energetic plane it then produces effects in our physical bodies.
A practitioner can often feel or sense disruptions in a clients energy centers and pathways. The reiki practitioner is attuned to this loving universal energy and is used as a conduit, or channel, for this energy. Receiving reiki is one way to help flush out our spiritual bodies to help relax and heal emotional and physical ailments. Just like physical health, spiritual and emotional health require us to be vigilant in order to maintain balance.
